FPPD is equipped with fabrication equipment to produce prototypes, including:

• One 27mm plastic resin compounding line for specifically formulated plastic resins

• One 60mm plastic resin compounding line for large volume plastic resin production

• A CNC milling machine and a CNC lathe for metal part prototypes

• Two compression molding machines with a vacuum, used for transparent armor and polymer composite prototypes

• Three high-capacity injection molding machines for prototype development and pilot-scale production

• One plastic foam casting line for low-density plastic foam prototypes

• Thermoset resin pre-preg lamination and compression molding for polymer composite prototypes 

• In-house injection mold tooling design capabilities to create optimized mold sets for prototype molding
